All about me! Since an early age, I've had a passion for creativity. Things I've done have
ranged from singing performances live on radio, to appearing in a musical gala at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, and many
other amateur dramatic shows, including pantomime with which I'm still involved. I first became interested
in card-making seventeen years ago. From small beginnings of making cards for myself, then teaching family
and friends, my business – Crab Apple Crafts, based in Cheshire – has boomed into an exciting and thriving business. I first
became interested in Scrapbooking over 14 years ago when I realised that creative skills used in card-making were very similar
to those used in Scrapbooking. The difference was that whereas handmade cards are designed largely to bring
pleasure to other people, Scrapbooking was important as a way of preserving family heritage, and memories of holidays,
pets, special occasions and even hobbies. I've been very fortunate to have worked in partnership with the major
manufacturers and suppliers to the paper-crafting industry in the UK, Europe, and USA, for whom I've demonstrated
at trade fairs, run workshops to train their own sales representatives and retailers, and represented them on the QVC
Shopping Channel. The growth I’ve seen in the interest in Scrapbooking over the past
18 months, as a retailer gives me reason to believe that there is a great deal of momentum behind it and Scrapbooking
is here to stay. I believe that five years down the road it will be on a par with card-making.

Crab Apple Crafts was founded in 1999 and it still amazes me to think that something that started out as a hobby
has developed into a successful retail store and a career on shopping TV. I've been really lucky to meet so many lovely
and interesting people, and to travel half way around the world in pursuit of new and innovative papercrafting products that
inspire people to be creative and are excellent value for money.
